Abstract

The document is portrait documentary that present a true story. Karinding is one of the art that existence is almost lost. Finally, there is a preserver of Karinding, his name is Abah Olot, he is known to reintroduce the art of Karinding to the public. In addition, there is also a musik group that called Karinding Attack, that group combines Karinding traditional musikal instrument with the metal musik. In this film, there are four speakers namely Abah Olot as crafters, Kimung as a historian, Okid as personnel of Karinding Attack and Hendra as a lecturer in Karinding’s class. This document is presented with a creative concept, so the audience who watch do not feel saturated/bored when they see this documentary of Karinding. In addition, the message presented in this dokumentery of Karinding is to maintain and preserve the traditional musikal Instruments of Indonesia.
