Abstract

This research intends to know how broadcasting management production on Traffic Update program in informing the latest news of traffic from NTMC. The research question is how management production of program broadcast Traffic Update to inform the traffic condition? A theory that researcher use is the concept function management described by Morrisan. The research methodology is descriptive qualitative with post positivism paradigm. The subject of this study is executive producer, program director, and program coverage Traffic Update in NTMC. The object of research is a function management production of program broadcast Traffic Update in informing the condition of traffic. Data collection obtained through in-depth interviews and non participants observation towards key informants and informants. The secondary data obtained from documentation and literature review. The result of this research said function management, starting from planning, organizing, briefing, impact, and supervision, has been running well. Looked like an executive producer establish good cooperation and professional performance with production team as well as responsible for managing and producing impressive Traffic Update news program should be a guidance to inform the traffic condition. Management of production functions are found on traffic updates program in NTMC TV essentially the same with a system of management of other production, except there are some differences in management system used in other programs. A factor of human resources who inadequate is an obstacle. Nevertheless, with the existence of the shortages resulting production has been good enough.
