Terrorism is a crime against humanity that often occurs in Indonesia, Indonesia which has a lot of ethnic and religious diversity becomes very vulnerable to radicalism and intolerance. This is very dangerous for the unity and unity of the Indonesian nation, if negative radicalism continues to take place in Indonesia, here the function of journalists as a function of social learning control can provide education to the very diverse Indonesian people so that there can be unity and unity in the community so that this terrorism event does not happen again in the future.
This research discusses the news of the bomb that occurred in Makassar Cathedral Church in the online media detik.com the March 28, 2021 edition. This research aims to find out how detik.com framed from the news of the bomb terror that occurred in makassar cathedral church. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with framing analysis methods and with Robert M. Entman's framing analysis model. Entman conducted a framing analysis with two large dimensions, namely issue selection and aspect bulging and four basic elements. The results of the study obtained through the framing analysis of Robert M. Entman and defining that Define Problem (Defining the problem) is a humanitarian problem and Diagnose Causes (estimating the problem) that is the act of terror committed by terrorism becomes the source of the problem (actors) and vice versa who are positioned as victims are the perpetrators themselves and Muslims who get negative stigma, Make moral Judgment (Making Moral Choices) that is an act of terrorism is a crime of humanity and It has nothing to do with any religion, especially Islam, then the Treatment Recommendation (emphasis of the problem) urges the State to immediately investigate the case of terror bombings that occurred in makassar cathedral church. The conclusion is that every news from a mass media is not entirely objective but a news is the result of the construction of the mass media. One can be told positively or negatively depending on how the media constructs the news.
