Abstract




The new media isa means to deliver messages to the masses using digital technology or so-called a network of communication and information technologies that encompass entire societies using computer devices and smartphones. New media today have a powerful influence on social sustainability in communities, mass media, as well as the picture and success of information technology and communication, which is a source of knowledge and information, due to the need for information so quickly to make significant changes thanks to the presence of the Internet. The study has a purpose to see how instagram on @roadsafety_policing's account shares information and education to its followers (followers). The study approach employs qualitative descriptive research methods. The study subject is @roadsaafety_policing and instagram users following @roadsafety_policing account. The object of this study was the @roadsafe_policing account as information media and education. Data collection techniques are acquired through observation, and in-depth interviews to five @roadsafety_policing and @roadsafety_policing account managers. The study USES computer-generated communication theory or computer mediated communication (CMC) to include three parts, cyberspace, cybersociety, cyberculture. he study of @roadsafety_policing's account of a 3 C includes cyberspace that allows instagram users to interact with other users. Cybersociety as a medium for information to users, and cyberculture is a new online culture for users to meet the needs of reading a news item, with a view to gaining entertainment, information, hobbies, and education.
