PEMBINGKAIAN BERITA KISRUH PARTAI DEMOKRAT (ANALISIS FRAMING ROBERT M. ENTMAN PADA MEDIA ONLINE REPUBLIKA.CO.ID DAN KOMPAS.COM EDISI 5-6 MARET 2021)

Abstract

This research aims to determine how to frame the news and analyze the content of news texts done by Republika.co.id and Kompas.com in presenting the chaotic news of the Democratic Party. The paradigm used is constructivism with a qualitative method. The data obtained from the news in Republika.co.id and Kompas.com are discussed using Robert M. Entman's Framing analysis. The results of the study show that both media are equally critical of the KLB implementation based on their respective points of view. However, what makes the difference is the style of writing and the use of diction from each media. Republika.co.id's reporting looks very openly attacking the counter-AHY side, and even tends to take sides. Republika.co.id made protrusions by using dictions that attacked parties from the counter-AHY camp. Republika.co.id questioned the government's attitude in responding to the chaos of the Democratic Party. Republika.co.id describes Moeldoko's figure as a knight who should not be imitated.Kompas.com writes about the chaotic news of the Democratic Party related to the Deli Serdang KLB but from a different point of view. Researchers see kompas.com trying to present news that is quite proportional and tends not to take sides. Kompas.com tries to balance its reporting by including statements from other sources. Kompas.com uses reasonable diction in its reporting regarding the unusual implementation of the Deli Serdang KLB. Kompas.com tries to remind by highlighting KSP Moeldoko's writing about the potential for abuse of power, because his position is very close to power.
