ANALISIS RETORIKA DALAM PIDATO PRESIDEN JOKO WIDODO PADA PELANTIKAN PRESIDEN TAHUN 2019 DI CHANNEL YOUTUBE HUMAS SEKRETARIAT PRESIDEN REPUBLIK INDONESIA

Abstract

This study aims to find out the rhetoric in President Joko Widodo's speech at his inauguration as President in 2019. The question of this research is how to analyze the rhetoric in President Joko Widodo's speech at the 2019 presidential inauguration on the Youtube Channel of the Public Relations of the Presidential Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia?. This study uses a qualitative method, the analysis uses the theory of the five laws of rhetoric according to Aristotle and classical rhetoricians (Socrates, Plato and Demosthenes), using a constructivist paradigm. The subject of this research is President Joko Widodo and the object of this research is a video of President Joko Widodo's 2019 inauguration speech, data analysis in the form of a filling system. The results of this study are, (1) the invention of the speech topic is an effort to improve the economy and improve the bureaucracy. The theme of the speech was efforts to improve the economy through the development of Human Resources (HR), infrastructure and improvement of the bureaucracy. (2) the disposition (compilation) in the form of an introduction consisting of greetings and discussion, content, arguments and evidence. (3) elocutio (language style) The language style used is repetition, metaphor and proverb. (4) memoria (memory) President Joko Widodo gave a speech without looking at the text and told his experience. (5) President Joko Widodo's pronuntitio (delivery) raises, emphasizes and lowers vowels. Gestures pointing, raising arms half body and bending half body. Eye contact is used to attract the listener's focus and mental contact to persuade the listener. In conclusion, President Joko Widodo's speech fulfilled the rules of Aristotle's theory of five laws of rhetoric and classical rhetoricians so that the rhetoric of the speech was clearly conveyed in its intent and purpose.
