PEMBINGKAIAN BERITA PENCOPOTAN KAPOLDA METRO JAYA DAN KAPOLDA JAWA BARAT DI PORTAL BERITA ONLINE KOMPAS.COM DAN DETIK.COM PERIODE 16-18 NOVEMBER 2020 (Analisis Framing Robert M. Entman)

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out how the news framing of Kapolda Metro Jaya and the Kapolda West Java removal on the online news portals Kompas.com and Detik.com for the period 16-18 November 2020. This research uses a constructivism paradigm with a qualitative research approach. The method used in this research is framing analysis model by Robert M. Entman's which has two major elements, that is selection of issues and highlighting aspects, and also four elements such as, Define Problems, Diagnose Causes, Make Moral Judgment, and Treatment Recommendation. Collecting data obtained through observation, news texts and literature study. The results of the research on the removal of the Polda Metro Jaya and the Kapolda West Java on the online news portals Kompas.com and Detik.com for the period 16-18 November 2020 were highlighted from a political perspective. Kompas.com describes the facts with a deeper perspective on political issues. Meanwhile, Detik.com describes the facts more generally. The conclusion of this study, the media Kompas.com framed its alignment with the government because the news pretty much took sources from the government. While Detik.com frames it more broadly.
