PESAN PERJUANGAN MASYARAKAT PADA FILM DOKUMENTER LAKARDOWO MENCARI KEADILAN (ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA ROLAND BARTHES)

Abstract

The film Lakardowo seeking justice is an Indonesian documentary film about the struggle of the people of Lakardowo village to fight for environmental justice. This film became one of the landfills for hazardous toxic waste (B3) by PT.PRIA. The disposal of this waste resulted in environmental pollution. This study aims to determine the message of the community's struggle in the documentary film Lakardowo seeking justice. This research uses qualitative research, with research method using semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes by using 3 signs, namely denotation, connotation, myth. The subject of this research is the documentary film Lakardowo seeking justice, data collection is obtained through observation, using primary and secondary data techniques. The data obtained directly from the object of the research is a scene that shows the struggle of Lakardowo village community, which is reflected in the 6 scenes studied. The six scenes contain the values of Joyomartono's struggle, namely the willingness to sacrifice, the value of unity, the value of respect, never give up and cooperation. The conclusion of the researcher is that the documentary film "Lakardowo Seeks Justice" contains elements of struggle that shows the struggle of villagers who want to fight for environmental rights, which have been taken at PT Putra Restu Ibu Abadi (PT.PRIA). This film can also provide a lesson for us to be able to behave fairly among humans in real life.
