ANALISIS FRAMING BERITA PELAKSANAAN PILKADA SERENTAK 2020 PADA SAAT PANDEMI COVID- 19 (SINDONEWS.COM DAN KOMPAS.COM EDISI 21 SEPTEMBER – 24 SEPTEMBER)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the framing of the news conducted by sindonews.com and kompas.com as the online media about the regional head elections during the covid-19 pandemic. In this study, using qualitative research type with constructivism paradigm and and the method used is framing analysis with model of framing by Robert N. Entman model using four related elements in this news of the regional head elections in 2020 during the covid-19 pandemic which are; Define Problems, Diagnose Causes, Make Moral Judgement, and Treatment Recommendation.The results of this study are in the news of regional head elections in 2020 conducted in the middle of covid-19 pandemic by online media, Sindonews.com and Kompas.com. Sindonews.com constructs this news very well and balanced where the pros and cons of news contained in online media while the Kompas.com tends to show more cons of this news. The researcher expects to readers be an active and critical reader in receiving-information especially on online media. Due to each online media has their own point of view in revealing-incident.
