Abstract




The presence of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) has changed the world in a short time and a difficult time for people who is doing business. This study aims to analyze in depth how the Gambir Rail Transit Suite Public Relations strategy in maintaining the number of visitors during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses the theoretical basis of two ways symmetrical by James E. Grunig.The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research subject is the Public Relations of PT. Tourism Train, Manager of Rail Transit Suite Gambir, and Marketing Communication as key informants and informants. The object of the research is the Gambir Rail Transit Suite Public Relations strategy in maintaining the number of visitors during the Covid-19 pandemic.The results of this study indicate that the PR strategy carried out by Rail Transit Suite Gambir uses the theory of two ways symmetrical (two- way communication). The strategy carried out by Rail Transit Suite Gambir is to provide questionnaires or questions directly by officers to visitors during check-out, distribute brochures to train passengers at Gambir Station and through social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter by reposting and respond to audiences regarding the Gambir Rail Transit Suite. Rail Transit Suite Gambir in collaboration with the Hotel Association of the Republic of Indonesia and ministries so that people on duty stay at the Rail Transit Suite Gambir.
