This research is conducted to determine the Public Relations strategy of the Himpunan Astronomi Amatir Jakarta (HAAJ) in building awareness of Astronomy in the community. The result showed that the strategy of HAAJ’s Public Relations in building awareness of Astronomy in the community is compatible with the AIDA theory. Although there are still gaps in the existence of Astronomy in the society, HAAJ as one of the few astronomical instruments is trying to change that paradigm, by holding various public-based astronomical activities. With these activities, the vision of "promoting Astronomy", which has been the vision of HAAJ since its first built, has gradually begun to come true. The conclusion of this research which based on the interviews using the AIDA theory, is that the stage Interest and Action have been obtained in the form of seminars and workshop, exhibitions, astronomical discussion forum, Star Party, and Open House Observation (public sky observation), as the strategy which answers the research objectives, which is to discover the public relations strategy of HAAJ in building awareness of Astronomy in the community.
