Abstract
The main problem of this research is how to represent the values of character education in ‘Sabtu Bersama Bapak’ movie. The purpose of this research is to determine the representation of the values of character education in ‘Sabtu Bersama Bapak’ movie. The theory used in this research is Charles Sanders Peirce semiotic theory. This research method is Charles Sanders Peirce semiotic analysis. The subject in this research is ‘Sabtu Bersama Bapak’ movie, and the object of research is representation of the values of character education in ‘Sabtu Bersama Bapak’ movie. Data collection was obtained from two sources is primary data and secondary data. Primary data used is soft copy ‘Sabtu Bersama Bapak’ movie that has been downloaded via the internet. For secondary data, this research uses reading sources, internet or through library studies, and examples of final project reports that have correlations with the problem researched by the researcher. The results of this research is in this research, researchers analyzed it using triangle meaning of Charles Sanders Peirce which is sign, object, and interpretant. There are seven scenes that contain elements of character education values in ‘Sabtu Bersama Bapak’ movie. The values of character education in this film is religious, self-confidence, hard work, never give up, and discipline.
