Abstract
The main problem of this research is How to Representation of Parent’s Love to Children contained in the Film Dua Garis Biru. The purpose of this study was to determine the representation of parental love found in the film Dua Garis Biru. The theory used in this study uses Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotics theory. The method used in this research is Charles Sanders Peirce semiotic analysis method, which is Triangle of Meaning. This research paradigm uses a constructivism paradigm with a descriptive qualitative research approach. The subjects in this study was the Dua Garis Biru film, and the object of this study was parental love represented in the Dua Garis Biru film. Data collection in this study uses two stages, primary and secondary data. Primary data in this study the researchers conducted non-participant observations on the Dua Garis Biru film. Secondary data in this study were obtained through studies or journals related to the discussion of parental love in a film. During the research the researchers found five scenes that represented the love of parent to children through audio and visual contained in the Dua Garis Biru film. One of the conclusions of this research is that parental love for children can be conveyed in various forms seen form the way mothers and fathers express love in different forms.
