PERANCANGAN BUKU ILUSTRASI MENGENAI PANDUAN MENGENAL PENYAKIT DIABETES MELITUS TERHADAP REMAJA USIA 12-18 TAHUN

Abstract

The wider community especially teenagers need insight and education early on the importance of diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that will be held for life. .75% of diabetic patients in 2017 were 20-64 years old. Indonesia ranks 6th out of ten countries with the highest number of diabetic patients, which are 10.3 million patients per year 2017 and are expected to increase to 16.7 million patients per year 2045. The management of the disease requires the participation of doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and other health workers. Therefore, the creators made illustrated books with the title "The Illustrated book design of the guidelines for knowing diabetes mellitus to teenagers aged 12-18 years" by applying visual elements, visual design principles, layout types, layout elements, and layout principles into books. With this illustration book is expected to society, especially teenagers can know and prevent diabetes mellitus.
