The focus of this research is to discuss about Journalistic Code of Ethics in Spotlight film. This film is based on actual events of a Spotlight investigation team journalist who is trying to report a case of underage sexual harassment. The approach of type of this research is qualitative research. The research method used is Charles Sanders Pierce’s semiotic analysis with triangle meaning in the form of sign, object, and interpretants. This research found that adherence to Spotlight team members on Journalistic Code of Ethics can have an impact on the credibility of the media where they work, the realization of free press, and maintaining press freedom. Credibility is the main factor of public trust, from this the birth offorerunner to the company’s profits which also implies the welfare of journalists through advertising, the obedience of journalists is that the Journalistic Code of Ethics also maintains the press as a democracy, because press is the fourth pillar of democracy.
