Abstract

This research focus is on Dilan’s Movie 1990 Violence, studied by semiotic analysis method Charles Sanders peirce. Semiotic is a science of sign that’s given by humans. The research are discuss a school violence signs on Dilan movie 1990. Researched from Budi Luhur University. The research is to know a school violence on Dilan Movie 1990. This research approach using qualitative. The paradigm used is constructivist. The research method is using descriptive qualitative. Dilan 1990 is the subject of research. The object is school violence on Dilan movie 1990. The research theory by Charles Sanders Pierce, that is : sign, object, interpretant. The data's collected from pustaka study, internet, document of synopsis film, actor from film, director related to Dilan movie 1990. The result tells about, Dilan 1990 movie contained a non-verbal violence scene. Non-verbal violence is a physical abuse, marked by hit his friend, hit his teacher, slap student, and student brawl. The signs lies on the picture scene, and dialog that has been selected.
