PERANCANGAN BUKU ILUSTRASI PENGENALAN HEWAN EDISI GHANIA MENGENAL ORANG UTAN SEBAGAI MEDIA PENGETAHUAN ANAK USIA 4-6 TAHUN

Abstract

Orangutans are one of the rare animals protected by the state by law, in addition to the presence of orangutans are currently threatened with extinction, due to the increasingly rampant orangutans are hunted and arrested for sale illegally. The design of this work as a requirement to obtain a Bachelor of Communication Science (S.Ikom) and provide information for children in introducing animals, especially orangutans. In order, later on children have a sense of concern for animals as fellow beings. Theories used in the design of this work are communicative theory, visual communication theory, layout theory, typography, color, and illustration. The design of this illustration book is done digitally from sketch to coloring process. This book contains information on breeding orangutans in their original habitat, to what are the problems for orangutan survival. Submission of the material in this book is presented with simple but interesting drawings and texts that are acceptable to children and parents who have children aged 4-6 years. Data were obtained through interview observation and literature study, both print and online. In conclusion this book as a medium in the delivery of information and add insight about orangutans.
