Abstract




The problem of this research is How to Represent any educational values contained in the film Iqro: My Universe.. This film was produced by YPM Salman ITB directed by Iqbal Alfajri. This film tells about the struggle in achieving the dream of Aisyah Nurra Datau. This study aims to determine the educational values contained in the film. The method used in this study is qualitative with Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis, which is Triangle of Meaning. The paradigm in this research is constructivist with a qualitative research approach. The subject in this study is the film Iqro: My Universe, and the object in this study is the educational value represented in the film . Data collection in this study was divided into two stages, namely primary and secondary. Primary data in this study were obtained by observing the film Iqro: My Universe, and secondary data in this study were obtained from studies or journals that discussed the values of education in a film. During the research, the researcher got 8 scenes containing educational values through the texts / dialogs contained in the film. Educational values displayed in the film Iqro: My Universe through the characters who play a role in the film. One of the educational values contained in the film Iqro: My Universe include persistence and responsibility, that is when Aqila received a refusal from Ms. Tsuraya to make her Vlog, Aqila did not give up trying to persuade Tsuraya's mother to be willing to participate in her vlog. Because of the persistence of Aqilla, miss Tsuraya was willing to participate in the Aqila vlog on the condition that Aqila be able to complete all tasks related to Astronomy.
