Abstract

This documentary work is a type of film based on the world and its people, which depicts things as they really are or tells the story of a halfway house correctly and objectively. In this documentary, the creator discusses a halfway house that houses old transvestites who don't have a home. Being a minority in Indonesia is not easy for transvestites. Oblique vision is always present in their minds and lives, wherever and whenever. At old age many transvestites who feel like a failure of life, to go home was already meaningless because the family had not received it anymore. Many elderly transvestites who die are difficult to bury because of the problem they do not have an identity card (KTP). halfway house was built in 2010 by mami Yuli who is also the head of the Indonesian transvestite communication forum (FKWI). In transitional homes, transvestites are also given training to have the skills to meet their needs, ranging from salon training, massage massage, and sewing. This documentary consists of 3 segments that make up a duration of 22 minutes. Each segment is presented directly by the interviewee along with the picture documentation. In the process of creating this work, the creator chooses to take on the role of producer. This documentary work focuses on the strength of the resource persons' statements.
