Abstract
'Jembatan Pensil' is a film that raises the issue of education on Muna Island, the story is about the struggle of children to continue to get an education in a Free School built by Pak Guru. two of them are children with 'backwardness', Inal who is a person with blindness and Ondeng has a downsyndorm can still enjoy school even though they have to go through winding trips to go to school. Through the film, researchers have analyzed the moral messages shown through scenes, dialogues that researchers have chosen one of which is in the scene of children falling from a bridge while going to school, They continue to get up and run to school despite wet clothes and stationery. This research method uses qualitative with constructivist paradigms. This study uses the Semiotic method revealed by Ferdinand De Saussure which consists of two aspects, namely signifier and signified. This study aims to determine the moral message found in the film 'Jembatan Pensil' by Hasto Broto. The results of this study are signs that display educational messages such as never giving up, achieving goals, friendship and family depicted in this film.
