Abstract

This Study includes a descriptive study of qualitative approach, namely semiotic analyst Charles Sanders Peirce. Semiotic method, which is a science or analytical methods to assess the signification. Researchers used a constructivism paradigm. The data were obtained through the selection of scenes in the movie “The Post” in which there are relating to freedom of the press starting from gather facts, process news, publish news, report it. Researchers concluded that the representation of press freedom is supported by high sense of responsibility, it is sense of a press get press freedom and the people get their rights, namely the right to know.
