Abstract
Crisis management is one of the activities and tasks of a Public Relations (HUMAS). Public Relations or Crisis Teams have an important role in handling crisis management in the Ministry of Tourism. This study aims to find out and obtain a descriptive description of how the crisis management strategy, what stages are carried out at the time of the crisis carried out by the Crisis Team in handling a problem at the Ministry of Tourism. In this study researchers used a process model of four stages or key steps by Cutlip & Center, reseacrh-listening, planning-decision, communication-action, evalation. This model explains the relevance of the work program planning process between crisis management. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study used were semi-structured interviews and non-participant observations with several speakers and through literature studies and several other data sources. The results of this study indicate that the Crisis Team in the Ministry of Tourism's Public Communication Bureau is guided by the Model Four step public relations process in handling crisis management. Regarding crisis management the tourism ministry The Crisis Team always attempts to deal with or deal with the crisis in accordance with the applicable regulations in dealing with a crisis.
