Abstract

The phenomenon that was raised in this study was how the public relations strategy
was carried out in carrying the promotion of the Gambir Rail Transit Suite Hotel. This phenomenon
was raised as the hotel business competition is increasing,in Indonesia, so that to see how the public
relations strategy in promoting the Trans Suite Gambir Rail hotel. The purpose of this study is as
follows to find out the public relations strategy(public relations) in promoting the Gambir Hotel Rail
Transit Suite. The benefits of research are theoretical, expected to increase understanding of public
relations strategies in conducting promotional activities, and practically provide constructive input
or input regarding the public relations strategy of PT. Tourism Train in promoting the Gambir Hotel
Rail Transit Suite.The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach,
with indepth interview data collection and relevant image documentation.Research results using
theory PENCILS this illustrates some of the strategies carried out by the public relations hotel Trans
Suite Gambir Rail namely, Promotion strategy carried out by Public Relations for RTS Hotels, still
not maximal, this is due to the limited space of movement under the control of PT. Tourism Train,
social media content such as Instagram and YouTube, are still not actively updated. The PENCILS
strategy, has not been implemented as a whole, because it only carries out publications,News,
Inform to Image.
