Abstract

This study aims to determine employee relations activities in motivating the work of employees
at PT Mitra Konsultansi Indonesia Tangerang. This research problem formulation is how employee
relations activities in motivating the work of employees at PT Mitra Konsultansi Indonesia Tangerang?
This study uses a post-positivism paradigm with a qualitative approach and qualitative descriptive
methods. The theory used in this study is the Theory of Hierarchy of Needs from Abraham Maslow. Data
collection through interviews with informants, conducting observations and study of literature. The
results of this study indicate that employee relations activities carried out by PT Mitra Konsultansi
Indonesia have fulfilled five categories of employee needs, such as physiological needs, security needs,
social needs, self-esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. Of the several categories of employee
needs, there needs to be improvements made to motivate employee work, especially in the need for
appreciation and self-actualization needs, especially for employees who have worked longer hours. For
example, such as additional salary, promotion and also added activities that involve employees to invite
their families such as family gatherings. One of the reasons for the decline in company or project income
that is not reaching the target is when the employee's work motivation decreases. Therefore, the
company is expected to be able to re-evaluate employee relations activities in motivating the work of its
employees, so that employees can work to build a more advanced company. Further research theoretical
advice is expected to develop motivational theories and practical advice given by the company, and it is
hoped that they will be improved further, especially for employees who have worked long enough in the
company and further developed on the needs of self-actualization for employees, so that employees feel
valued for their existence and motivated at work.
