Abstract

Tangerang City Government is one of the institutions that has a public service application called Tangerang LIVE, this application provides administrative, demographic, economic and information services. This study uses the post-positivism paradigm and discusses qualitative with qualitative descriptive methods. This research was conducted from April to June 2019 in the Tangerang City Government. The subject of this research is the Public Relations of the Tangerang City Government and the object of this research is the strategy of the Public Relations of the Tangerang City Government. This study uses the theory of excellence using the strategic management approach of public relations according to Grunig & Repper Data collection is obtained through interviews, observation, library studies and the internet. The results showed that the increase in information services provided by the Tangerang City Government Public Relations was by adding the Tangerang LIVE application as an option in accessing information relating to the Tangerang City Government apart from the website owned by the Tangerang City Government. However, for information that is of a special nature must go through a request for submission, by visiting the official website of the Tangerang City Government and filling out the form provided. The conclusion of this study is in an effort to improve information services through the Tangerang LIVE application, Public Relations Tangerang City Government has relations with parties directly related to information service activities. The suggestion is to try again to introduce the Tangerang LIVE application to the community, especially the people of Tangerang City so that all information and services provided through the application can be felt by all the people of Tangerang City.
