Abstract

This study aims to find out what public relations strategies are carried out by Basarnas in providing disaster response education through the SAR Goes To School program ?. Researchers used the Ahmad S. Adnanputra Public Relations Strategy Concept and the PENCILS concept developed by Philip Kottler in which there were three components of the theory used by researchers including: Publicity (Publication and Publicity), Event (News). The subject of this research is Basarnas Public Relations, the subject consists of key informants and informants. The object of his research is the Basarnas Public Relations strategy. Data collection was obtained through the results of in-depth interviews with several sources as well as through literature studies and other data sources. The results of the study showed that the Head of the Public Relations Unit Head who carried out the public relations function at Basarnas in providing disaster response education through the SAR Goes To School SAR program, the Basarnas Public Relations team guided by the PR strategy and PENCILS concept was quite successful. Regarding the SAR Goes To School program socialization, the team that carries out the PR function always makes efforts to be able to maximize the best service and in accordance with what is expected by the community.
