Abstract

This Research aims to examine the Role Of Public Relations of Indonesian Red Cross Center In managing the website as a Public Information center facility. The main question of this research is “how the role of Public Relations in managing the website as a public Information center facility?” The theory used in this researchis The Role Of Public Relation Theoryby Rosady Ruslan imaging as a Communicator, Relationship, Back up Management and Good Image Maker. This research is descriptive research with qualitative approaches, the object of this research the is website of Indonesian Red Cross. While the Research subject is the Public Relation of PMI Center. The data collection obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and gathered through literature study from many resources such as documents, books, etc. Informants were selected based on purposive sampling by selecting informants that have relevance to the theme of study and comparing the results of interviews with environmental situation. The number of informants in this study is 4 people. The results of the research shows, the effectiveness of Public Relations websites as the Center of Public Information especially to exposed the external activities of the Indonesian Red Cross, so that the website can be the most complete information tool for the Public who want to know the Indonesian Red Cross activities all around Indonesia.
