Peran Reporter Dalam Proses Produksi Berita Liputan 6 Sctv

Abstract

Liputan 6 SCTV has an actual, sharp and reliable slogan, with the slogan making the editorial team and the coverage team try to show quality news. in displaying quality news, it takes effort from all teams including reporters. Reporters are the main thing in the news, all stages of production reporters must always take part in it. This research uses role theory and management theory which refers to PODC broadcast management concept which is theorized by Peter K. Pringle. This research uses a qualitative approach and the data acquired through interviews with key informants other informants. The time taken in this study is September 2018 to June 2019. This research shows that a reporter has done its role well according to the role theory, where reporters executes its rights and responsibilites which applies in Liputan 6 SCTV and is according to its standing in society, and that  a reporter has executed its role well according to the PODC broadcast management theory, which is planning that encapsulates the pre-production which includes redactional meetings, organizing which includes the production process such as determining key sources and conducts interviews or live reports, and the last is controlling which includes post-production that is done through script writing of news. Suggestions from researchers is that reporters should have a high militancy attitude for the smooth reporting process so that the news produced can be better.
