Abstract

In the development of today's technology users of social media was increasing. Submission of information so fast that every people have been easily get information through some social media like facebook, Instagram, Twitter, web sites or even a cell phone like whats’app and so forth that can not be filtered well. For lower the risk of the news was a hoax in a row, OZ Radio Jakarta issued a subscription service Society about using social media well. The study aims to find out whether or not there is the effect of the Public Service Annoucements of “ Stop The Spread of News Was a Hoax” that was broadcast by Radio Oz Jakarta here to change the behavior of listeners in the use of social media. This study used theory of stimulus organism responses. The methodology used in this study is the positivist approach the applicability of the eksplanatif associative. Analysis of data in the validity and the coefficient of determination and the regression to find out how much influence between variable that's X to the variable that's Y. The collection of data obtained through the spread of a questionnaire on 87 correspondents who was taken from the entire community Terogong of RT. 010, West Cilandak, South Jakarta. Can researchers concluded based on the correlation and the regression that have been conducted with a value of R 0,610 that there is influence is between Public Service Annoucements version “Stop The Spread of News Was a Hoax” to the behavior of listeners in the use of social media in the Terogong of RT. 010, West Cilandak, South Jakarta and R square 0,372 or 37, 2 % which means, 37,2 % variable in this research and the rest of his 62,8% are other variables that aren't pursuing in this study.
