NARRATIVE APPROACH PORTRAIT DOCUMENTARY “HERITAGE OF BATIK BANTEN” AS A KNOWLEDGE AND COMPREHENSION ABOUT BATIK BANTEN

Abstract

The documentary is the kind of film that is based on facts and competent person in it, that describes everything as-is or tell about historical events correctly or objective. In the documentary, the designer of the paper will discuss or explore the Batik Banten was in town. Batik Banten have motives that tells the story of the Sultanate of Banten Kingdom at that time. Motif that is poured into batik, taken from the remains of the Kingdom of Banten as jar, award, form kramik and so on with doing research beforehand by Archaeologists. The documentary is made up of four segments, each segment presented by interviewees and amplified with narration. Presentation of the concept of narrative aims so that the audience or viewers more enjoy and easily understand the course of the story, as well as not making kalayak bored in watching this documentary. The purpose of the creation of this work was to increase the knowledge that batik not only found in the Central Java area alone but also in Banten, Banten community already know batik tradition since the 17th century known by the traditions of the societies Bantam with the name simbut or blanket van Banten.
