PERANCANGAN “VIDEO EKSPLAINER FAKULTAS ILMU KOMUNIKASI UNIVERSITAS BUDI LUHUR” SEBAGAI MEDIA INFORMASI BAGI CALON MAHASISWA

Abstract

This paper explains how a eksplainer videos can become a medium of information, especially in the environment of the Faculty of Communication Studies in Budi Luhur University. From the observations and interviews with Student and Dean of the Faculty of Communication Science the creator can have the knowledge that the media to introduce the Faculty is still lacking and not enough to attract the public interest. Therefore, the creators think of solutions that can help the process of delivering information, especially about introducing any concentration in the Faculty of Communication Studies of Budi Luhur University. The video is made with its own uniqueness and from a simple presentation with various icons that can represent the contents of the information. The exploratory video is based on communication theory, the theory of visual communication and refers to the theory of composition, storyline and animation. The creator is inspired by some references of video explainer's work, Video Explainer "Bukalapak.com" by Monoponik Studio ", Endang Binus Extension Video" Media Communications "by Cindy Winata, Video of Multimedia Final Project" Impact Global Warming "by Dadi Abdul. It can be concluded that the creation of this video explainer has a goal to introduce every concentration in the Faculty of Communication Studies in Budi Luhur University.
