Abstract
The aim of writing this thesis is to show how an animation can be used as an alternative learning media for children in age 4 - 6 years old, as well as a learning media in order to re-popularize of nursery rhymes that dims in the current digital era. The formulation idea of the thesis was based on the problems that are in the community environment that increasingly dimming nursery rhymes. Learning methods and the introduction of nursery rhymes that was implemented at TK Nurul Iman is only in the form of demonstration. Creator got the data from news that creator find with observations and interviews conducted at TK Nurul Iman. Thus, the creator tried to think and solve the problem in order to help the teaching and learning activities in TK Nurul Iman and creator trying to re-increase the popularity of nursery rhymes through early childhood education with a creative approach by creating 2D animation nursery rhymes. The basis of this animation is 2D animation with a simple illustration style from vector illustration of a simple flat design. The theoretical basis of this work is communication and visual communication theory in reference to the animation. Overall, the creation of this animation contains inducement and alternative learning for early childhood. It can be concluded that the thesis was created with the purpose to help the teaching and learning activities in TK Nurul Iman in order to re-popularize the songs of children which are increasingly dimmed its existence through early childhood education and make the animation as an alternative learning media in order to shape the child character in the current digital era.
