Abstract

The extinction of a language means the disappearance of the folklore, which contains the sources of knowledge as a manifestation of the form of cultural heritage, which belongs to every person and society. Because it's nature, folklore vulnerable to extinct. Therefore cultural preservation become a necessity. Documentary film "Nguri-Nguri Kabudayaan" focusing on how preserving culture by Institution of development language (Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa), The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan), which has the main task of developing and protecting language and literature. “Nguri-Nguri Kabudyaan” which means preserving culture, then this aim documentary film are to give knowledge and to raise people attention for effort to preserve folklore. The interest of documentary at least there is a way of conservation conducted conservation and revitalization by researcher. As a pluralist nation, Indonesia certainly has local knowledge sources, one of them is folklore, which is also a form of what is meant by the intangible cultural heritage. A convention relating to the protection of intangible cultural heritage took place in 2003, in Paris. Indonesia also ratified the results of the convention on the protection of intangible cultural heritage by Presidential Regulation Number 78 in 2007 contains the ratification of convention on the protection of intangible cultural heritage. Intangible cultural heritage is recording of preserving activities by tradition researches or the story owners. In this case related to the legend of “Putri Ayu Limbasari” in limabasari village, purbalingga district.
