Abstract
This Research aim to understand about producer management in Ini Talkshow Program Production on NET TV to maintain share. The formulation of the issue in this research is how producer management in Ini Talkshow program production on NET TV to maintain share. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection is obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The concept used in this research is a concept of program strategy proposed by Peter Pringle Star. The end result of this research lays out a concept proposed by Peter Pringle Star about producer management in Ini Talkshow on NET TV to maintain share. Ini Talkshow implements program planning, Producer thought of an era in which masses is in dire need of information, but how to present that information in a more relaxed package. If such way is executed, the information relayed to the masses will be easier to understand but not as though patronizing. At Program Production and Purchasing stages, Ini Talkshow always brainstorms to gather ideas from the team to determine the concept, theme, content, gimmick, and which guest star is to be invited. At Program Execution stages, Ini Talkshow requires collaboration from the entire production team. Prior to Execution stage, the production team must re-check all equipment; device, instrument, appliance, gadget, etcetera, before use, spruce up the rundown, checking the content and revising in case of errors, ensuring guest star, provides briefing to the guest star to make sure guest star understand the content that has been created at pre-production, and by the time of execution there wouldn’t be any miss communication or miss content, producer and team will promote the program through social media to attract viewers. At Supervision and Evaluation stage, production team holds a meeting with the producer which will be held every once a month to keep eye of said month progress to see if there’s an increase or a decrease of the gained share. If there’s a decrease, production team must evaluate the error and find a way out as well as create a plan for future content.
