Abstract
A producer must have a surefire strategy for programs that are made to be sought by audiences, either in terms of the presentation of entertainment programs as well as information.The purpose of this research is to know the strategies of the producerand to analyzes impressions program "Seputar iNews Siang" in maintaining of the program.The methods used in this study i.e., qualitative descriptive.Using the method of collecting the data of observation and in-depth interview which aims to conduct interviews in depth to the key informant and the informant who is considered able to provide information with regard to the focus of the research.This research uses theories of SWOT analysis by Gerald Millersonaimed at finding out strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the program "Seputar iNews Siang".The results of this research show that of the "Seputar iNews Siang” Team, Manager of the Program, the Executive Producer and Producer of the program "Seputar iNews Siang" run the task according to what is done for an impression news programs, starting from the pre-production process that is editorial meeting,determine what news topics will be aired on the program,determine of the lead news, and coordination of the team news. Then the production process until post production, conduct an evaluation of the program, where the evaluation largely determine how far the implementation of the program has accomplished, where the evaluation was largely determine how far the implementation of programs that have been achieved, and whether it have been compliance with the objectives that have been set.One of the strategies is that an information (News) program should provide speed on the contents of the program, so that the audiences of programare not easily move a channel.
