PENDEKATAN NARATIF PADA DOKUMENTER “SASAPIAN CIHIDEUNG"

Abstract

The creator makes a documentary film showing an information about the history of a culture that came from West Java Province, especially a traditional dance called Sasapian performed since 1930 until now, but unfortunately society still don’t know about the existence of this culture/art. Since long ago, this traditional dance created to be a ritual as a grateful expression to wellsprings in the village from people of Cihideung and this tradition always performed in the annual event such as Indonesia’s Independence Day until now. The elements of this traditional dance such as properties, costumes, music, and motions will be explained in this documentary film of “Sasapian Cihideung”. Hopefully, with this piece of work, people will be more concerned about their own culture and tradition both a small or a developed ones and spread it around the world.
