PEMBINGKAIAN BERITA PUTUSAN PENGADILAN DUGAAN PENISTAAN AGAMA OLEH BASUKI TJAHAJA PURNAMA

Abstract

The Research was purposed to find the framing of verdict court conjecture blasphemy by Basuki Tjahaja Purnama’s on Kompas.com. A question that the researcher asks is, “How is the framing of verdict court conjecture blasphemy by Basuki Tjahaja Purnama’s on Kompas.com?”. The research approach used analysis framing by Robert M. Entman with two dimensions: (Selection of issues and Aspect projection) and four framing elements (define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgement and treatment recommendation). The research subject was from online media Kompas.com. The research subject from Kompas.com online media was the issue about verdict court conjecture blasphemy by Basuki Tjahjaa Purnama’s on Mei 9th, 2017. The data collections are obtained from literature review and texts from the official site of Kompas.com as the main source.The research result showed that Kompas.com reconstructed an issue telling that Basuki Tjahaja Purnama was cause of the problem in the case and Buni Yanis as informant is the victim. Theoretical suggestion is to suggest other researchers to analyze an issue by using text analysis with similar research model and they can add other media in order to be able to find a framing comparison from those media. Practical suggestion for Kompas.com is that they are expected to be neutral, not partial to a certain side and more concerned to the need of public, more independent and more objective in reporting an issue.
