Abstract

This research aims to know the role and how public relations KKMK Parish Church St. Matthew the Evangelist Bintaro attracted the attention of Catholic young people to get involved in the activities of the night ride with KKMK. This appears a trend increasingly track where Catholic young people are no longer interested in spiritual activities. This trend has already resulted in a variety of social crisis, making them frustrated and the most fatal can make them forget the Lord. The Catholic Church is facing the challenges of the times it does not want to lose the people that to his Church to facilitate his people with a wide range of gatherings that aims to accommodate any activity of his people so that people can stay close to God, one is KKMK. This research used the qualitative approach with descriptive method using PENCILS theory found that an organization's public relations role as communicator, fostering relationships (relationships) backing up management, and corporate image is very important to pull back the Catholic young people fall into a life away from God through activities which are excited but still desire to glorify God. A publicist has to be able to publish any activities with interest, should be able to make an interesting event, write a news story that can be uplifting, can establish rapport with other communities, able to inform clearly so that the positive feedback received as well as able to do lobbying and negotiations.
