Abstract
This study aims to interpret the self-presentation done by Instagram users in Jakarta. Formulation of the problem. How social media instagram become self-presentation user Instagram in Jakarta. The theory used is the theory of Users. Data collection was obtained through observation and in-depth interviews to Tyna Kanna Mirdad who became informant and supporting informant. Data obtained from literature study obtained from Tyna Kanna Mirdad,, reading sources, research reports, books, and internet related to research problems. The research method uses a case-study method that results thoroughly from an event or appears on the front stage and backstage of the research subject by using written or oral words of the observed person and is a research that describes the reality that occurs systematically, factually and accurate facts and properties on a research object. The results of front-stage research are divided into three, namely setting, appearance, manner that produces self-presentation Tyna Kanna Mirdad into a program. As well as the backstage behavior, body language, facial expressions, message content, speech or style of the original language outside the front stage. The conclusion of this research is the self-presentation of Tyna Kanna Mirdad distinguishes appearance as a program and in personal life, besides self-presentation by Tyna Kanna Mirdad as self-promotion and Exemplification to attract followers in account @tynakannamirdad in Instagram.
