PERAN KOMISI PENYIARAN INDONESIA DALAM MENGAWASI PROGRAM TAYANGAN KARTUN

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission in supervising the program of cartoon. The research question asked is What is the role of the Indonesian broadcasting Commission in supervising the program of cartoon. The approach of this research is qualitative with descriptive method, the subject of this research is the relevant informant under the supervision of broadcasting commission program of Indonesia. Data collection was obtained by observation, interview, and documentation. Observations were made at the Secretariat of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission, by interviewing several informants and documentation from the employees of the Indonesian broadcasting Commission and from print or online media. The results shows that the role of Indonesian broadcasting commission in supervising the program of cartoon is in accordance with Soerjono role theory in strengthening the role. According to Soerjono's theory, the role is a dynamic aspect of position (status). In the role theory itself, to increasing the role of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission should be strengthened with the status / position as the Indonesian broadcasting regulator. The conclusion of this research is that the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission uses role theory in implementing role theory. The researcher's suggestion is this role may serve as a reference for other researchers and be a comparison theory with other theories and is expected to implement by strengthening supervision in the child's broadcast program that is always performed by the Indonesian broadcasting Commission.
