PEMBINGKAIAN BERITA MEDIA ONLINE ATAS PELECEHAN PANCASILA OLEH HABIB RIZIEQ DI KOMPAS.COM PERIODE 19 JANUARI – 1 FEBRUARI 2017

Abstract

This research aims to know framing of Kompas.com in the news about the abusing of Pancasila in period January, 19 – February, 1 2017. The research question askd is how Framing Kompas.com in convering of Pancasila abuse, using Robert N. Entman Framing analysis period January, 19 – February, 1 2017. The approach of this research uses Robert M. Entmans’ framing analysis with two dimensions: (problem selection and highlighting aspect) and four framing elements (define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgment and treatment recommendation). The subject of this research is from Kompas.com online media. The object of this research, from the online media Kompas .com, is the media which coverage Habib Rizieq in abusing of Pancasila. The data collection of this research is obtained through literature study and text from main source, Kompas.com through its official website. The result of this research shows that Kompas construct news of HabibRizieqShihab cause of the problem. Kompas.com positioned Habib Rizieq Shihab to be the cause actor of this problem. Kompas.com provides a solution by reconciling Habib Rizieq Shihab with Sukmawati Soekarno Putri, so that the case can be resolved legally. The theoretical suggestion is to suggest other researcher to review a story by using text analysis with the same research model and to add other media in order to be able to find the comparative framing of those mediums. Practical advice for online media Kompas.com expected to be more neutral in posting or loading the news and don’t taking sides with anyone, like more concerned with the interests of the wider community, more independent, and more objective in preaching an event.
